Vincent S. Alig, Pastor:
Vince is from Indianapolis, IN, and graduated from North Central High
School. He received a B.A. in Psychology from Wake Forest University in
Winston-Salem. Vince served as a Young Life leader at the North Forsyth
High School in Winston, and was active in Wake Forest Intervarsity
Christian Fellowship, which is where he met his wife, Ruth. Vince
graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California with
a Masters of Divinity degree. He has served as Associate Pastor for
evangelism at the Irvington Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis and as
an international church planting Mission Associate to help birth the
Uniting Community Church in Banora Point, New South Wales, Australia in
1993. He returned to the U.S in 1997 to serve as the Pastor of
Southminster Presbyterian Church in Marietta, GA., before he was called
to Walhalla in 2006. Vince and Ruth have been blessed with two
daughters, two sons and a wonderful daughter in law.

Alan
Houtzer, Lay Worship Leader WUPC: Alan is from Florida and
serves as Information Technologies Manager for Keowee Key Property Owners'
Association. Alan is married to Debbie, and their three children are
Sophia, James, & Michael. In addition to his preaching duties as
Lay Worship leader, Alan teaches Sunday School & Bible Study at
the Chapel on a weekly basis. Alan is attending the Presbyterian Lay
School of Theology with the goal of certification as a Commissioned
Lay Pastor in the PC(USA).

Diane Vore, Student Ministry Director:
Walhalla
Presbyterian Church and West Union Chapel are thrilled to welcome Diane
into our church family. This new beginning for the upbuilding of
Christ's ministry for the education of children and outreach to their
families has been long awaited. We are blessed to have an experienced
and dedicated servant of Jesus Christ like Diane to take up this call.
Diane has worked in Christian Education, Youth & Children's
residential ministry, Camping and Missions Work Trips over the years of
her ministry since graduating from King's College in Bristol, TN in
2003.

Becky Sobeck, Office Administrative Assistant: Rebecca
Sobeck is from Miami, Florida and moved from the city life to the
Mountains of South Carolina. She has been married 25 years to her
husband Mike, and has two grown children: Steven and Sarah.

Bill Weeks, Organist: Bill
and his wife, Mary, first joined our church in 1990 when Bill was asked
to serve as our interim organist. He continued to serve as the regular
organist until 1995, when they returned to Utica Baptist Church in
Seneca.Two years later, he was asked to return and serve as our
organist and has continued in that capacity to the present time. Bill
and Mary reside in Clemson with their two beagles. They have three sons
who live in Washington state, Florida, and Central. When he's not
practicing and looking for more beautiful sacred music with which to
honor God, Bill enjoys walking with his dogs, gardening, woodworking,
model railroading, good movies, and reading biographies of R.E. Lee.

Mimi
Taylor, Choir Director: Mimi and her husband, Jack have been a great
blessing to the Walhalla Presbyterian Church. Jack is a retired PC(USA)
minister who continues to serve here and in other area churches of the
Foothills Presbytery as an interim and supply pastor. Mimi is a gifted
teacher and leader of our choir, who sees all of her musical creativity
as an offering of praise to the Lord God. Mimi is an accomplished vocalist
and pianist in her own right, and often shares her voice and her keyboard
skills as a wonderful addition to our worship services.

Kitty
Coffee, Organist for West Union Chapel: Kitty and her husband Ronnie
are natives of this area who have enjoyed raising their family here
in the Golden Corner. Kitty loves to minister through her musical talents,
and serves not only at the West Union Chapel, but at several other area
churches as her time and energy permit.
Deb
Wickliffe, Treasurer: Deb is a longtime resident of Oconee County
who has served as a faithful member and treasurer of WPC for many years.
She is the proud mother of daughters Clarka, Lindsay and Allison. Deb
is on the staff at the district offices of the School District of Oconee
County, and a master of the excel spreadsheet. We are blessed to know
that we can "count" on Deb to expertly and conscientiously
keep track of our financial stewardship.
