Rise Against Hunger
Saturday, February 7, 2026
Would you like to start 2026 by making a difference in the fight against hunger?
On Saturday, February 7 join Walhalla Presbyterian and our co-sponsoring churches College Street Baptist, Episcopal Church of the Ascension, Holy Trinity, St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Seneca Presbyterian, Richland Presbyterian Church and West Union Presbyterian Chapel for our third annual RISE Against Hunger event. Our goal this year is to package 34,000 plus meals for those in need in just two hours! To do that, 160 volunteers are needed.
Please consider volunteering from 10 am to 12 pm to help measure, seal, label, and package meals of rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables and micro nutrient packets. For sealing and weighing, seating is available. If you have the interest and physical capability to lift heavy boxes, your help from 8:30 am to 10 am for set up and/or from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm for cleanup would be appreciated.
To volunteer, simply use the link below. You can sign up for one or more of the three time periods. It's super easy! http://events.riseagainsthunger.org/WalhallaPresbyterian2026
Gratefully, College Street Baptist Church is hosting our event again this year. This is not only a meaningful ministry, it’s fun to do with friends and family! We encourage you to invite others to join us by sharing the registration information with them. Please register today before the volunteer slots fill up!
